i hate laminates. i haven't seen a single one so far that looks like it's worthy to be used as a material. if you want to be a fake then go all the way.i did something really stupid just now hahaha luckily it wasn't a very big road. i was like almost midway when a car zoomed past and tapped his horn (basic theory lingo lol) and i finally realised i was crossing on a red man. i think what happened was that i convinced myself is was green cause i was (once again) trying to picture what on earth the designer was thinking when he drew that thing. the upper and lower limbs of the green man definitely look like they are moving in the same direction simultaneously. if it was the left arm with the right leg forward (or vice versa) the length of the legs would be different and the shape of the torso wouldn't look so face on.
basically i was just registering a mental image of that to correspond with my current walking stance, and i kept on walking while staring at the (unlit) green man so that i would be in that position constantly, rather than stopping dead in my tracks legs astride.
i took my first e trial test this morning. saw a sa guy sitting opposite me but i don't remember which batch he was from. probably the 08 graduating one cause his face seems quite fresh. however he totally didn't acknowledge me. i didn't know if i should say hi or what. maybe i'm just not noticed in school...
anyway, on my first attempt i got 88% FAIL and i was sniggering at myself cause i haven't finished studying my BT text. but on the next try i got 90%! so i walked out of there feeling quite pleased HAHA.
i have decided that since i'm suffering so much doing admin work, it is my RIGHT to take the initiative and get what i want. if i'm going to stay for a few weeks more i had better make sure i clear it off the best i can. so i'm going to be a nosey parker and steal the library books to read whenever my computer stalls, take them home, disturb the other staff by getting them to teach me how to use autocat without bothering my uncle, and dig into the random store of samples and books on construction materials that seem to be strewn around the place, including those behind other people's work stations. (but i'll ask them first of course) since i'm getting forced to do all this admin shit i'd better take charge of my own real learning here.
MICA's given out 400 internships according to a newspack sms i got. so i'll go find out more about that. and maybe i'll see if i can get a pt job doing duck tours LOL. that'd be really great cause i could toggle between that and my retail job.
